Frank Kneuer graduated from McArthur High School in 1977, in Hollywood Florida, where he was elected to the All County First Team for three consecutive years. After graduating from high school, Frank attended Broward Community College on a full baseball scholarship.
Frank signed his first professional contract after being drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 1978; he played two minor league seasons with the A's. In 1981, Frank signed as a free agent with the New York Yankees, where he played from 1982-1984.
In 1984 Frank was traded to the Texas Rangers where he was assigned to the AAA team where within the first week he sustained a career ending leg injury.
This is Frank's second year coaching with the East Coweta Baseball program.
Frank has been a hitting and catching instructor at local instructional facility. He is currently a major league scout for the Baltimore Orioles. He also has coached competitive travel ball for several years. Frank owns his own tile and marble business and is also a homebuilder. He is the father of Daniel, 17 who is a senior at ECHS and Derek, 16 who is in 9th grade at ECHS and plays on the ECHS Freshman baseball team.
